On Saturday, June 9th, Byte Back partnered with DCTV to host Brookland's Community Media Day. The purpose of this event was to make electronic media (computers, the internet, video and television) more accessible to all Washington, DC residents. The event featured free computer workshops, activities for children, and free computer recycling. One of the main attractions was a booth where children made crafts and artwork out of old computer parts. Activities were held at Byte Back's headquarters at 9th and Monroe Streets, NE, and across the street on the front lawn of DCTV's Brooks Mansion headquarters.
