Corporate Donor

Thank you for considering making a corporate donation to Byte Back. We are one of the most cost effective organizations in the area. Last year, thanks to our volunteers and the donations of in-kind services, Byte Back is able to provide courses for $346 per student, and entire Office Track program, including a free computer and job readiness training, a free computer and individual career counseling for $1384 per student. This year we have tripled our programming, which will further improve our cost effectiveness.

Corporations and small businesses have been very kind to Byte Back in the past and we are very grateful. We are always eager to find ways to express our gratitude by publicly acknowledging these donations at community events, in our publications, on our promotional materials and on our website.

There are many ways your business can support the work that we do at Byte Back, through gifts of cash, stock, technology equipment or items from our wish list:

Donate online through Network for Good. Just click the Network For Good button on the left of this page.

Write a check to Byte Back and mail it to 815 Monroe Street NE, Washington DC 20017

Donate stock directly to Byte Back. We will gladly accept it!

Sponsor an event such as our annual gala fundraiser, our annual Community Computer Day, or one of our smaller events such as our winter lecture series or our restaurant fundraisers. If you company would like to know more about the benefits of sponsorship, please contact our Executive Director, Kelley Ellsworth at (202) 529-3395 or kellsworth@byteback.org .

Name Byte Back as a beneficiary when you sponsor the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon. Byte Back will then receive the full amount of your sponsorship, plus a grant from Fannie Mae for 20% of your sponsorship amount. Your company receives multiple promotional benefits from the Walkathon.

Donate one of your employees by loaning his/her expertise to us. Companies may give permission for their workers to teach classes or provide other professional services to Byte Back while receiving their regular salary.

Give new or used computer equipment to Byte Back for our classrooms, staff, or graduates. We accept any computer that is a Pentium 4 or better, and eagerly accept any flatscreen monitor. Other items such as computer speakers, printers and printer cartidges are welcome donations. Often businesses swap out their 2-3 year old computers for newer models. These older models are very valuable to Byte Back, either for use in our classroom, or to give to our program graduates. In addition, frequently businesses are given brand new equipment for free, such as a printer or digital camera, when they purchase a computer. Byte Back will eagerly accept these new items.

Share technology software and services with Byte Back. Often a business will contract for software or services which they are legally allowed to share with others, such as training software or certification exam vouchers. These donations can save Byte Back thousands of dollars.

Check out our Wish List (below) and if you have any of the items listed, and would like to donate them, please contact our Office Manager, Felicia Hawkins at (202) 529-3395 or fhawkins@byteback.org . Items with your logo and the logo of any other company are welcome.
